A: EFS replenishes glycogen by using a mix of high glycemic carbohydrates including both simple and complex sugars. This easy to digest mix is rapidly absorbed and delivers fast and long term energy.


RESEARCH

Following exhaustive exercise, athletes fight inflammation, battle oxidative stress, need to repair torn muscle tissue, and have depleted essential glycogen stores. Glycogen is the primary storage carbohydrate in muscles and liver totaling approximately 2,000Kcal in a trained athlete. Muscle glycogen is generally known as the main fuel for strenuous sports activity. Unlike fat, this fuel can be mobilized rapidly under anaerobic condition, which typically occurs under various acute/exhaustive physical exercises. 

Glycogen re-synthesis is the process of converting consumed food into stored glycogen. Even with optimal recovery after a hard workout, full glycogen re-synthesis is difficult to attain within 24 hours and subsequent workouts can begin to suffer. This is especially true when working out or racing for multiple days back to back. Having the ability to replenish glycogen to a greater degree allows athletes to bounce back from exhaustive exercise faster and be better prepared for the next day of training or racing.

INGREDIENTS

Ingredients: Complex carbohydrates, sucrose, dextrose, AjiPure Amino Acid Blend (L-Glutamine, Leucine, Iso-Leucine, Valine), Electrolyte blend (chloride, sodium, potassium, magnesium, calcium), acidity regulator (citric acid), antioxidant (ascorbic acid).

Directions: Mix one scoop EFS per 350ml of water. Consume one serving 15-30 minutes before exercise and take one serve during exercise. For additional energy and electrolytes, mix the EFS drink up to 2x strength or use in conjunction with EFS Liquid Shots.

I'm in the Marine Corps station on a Japanese Island, OKINAWA. The locals love their fitness as noted by regular 5K, 10K, 1/2 Marathon, Fulls year rd. Racing is something that I am starting to learn how to do and I decided to get this product because my boyfriend made me taste it and it was great. The things that I like about it is the fact that it keeps the electrolytes in, the fact that there is not a bunch of crap added to it and no overload of sugar. I regularly had cramps with literally dozens of other drinks. I even went as far as to heavy and light dose the different products to get relief, but there wasn't a golden ticket for my cramping.
